Nestled within the extraordinary "Breede River Lodge & Fishing Resort" in the idyllic Wistsand/Port Beaufort, this cottage sits right on the banks of the majestic Breede River.

Only a leisurely 3-hour drive from Cape Town towards the enchanting Garden Route, this tranquil retreat is located in the peaceful town of Witsand.

Recently renovated and exquisitely decorated, our cottage boasts a variety of features:
- A private south-facing patio with breathtaking views of the Breede River
- A communal north-facing garden with a barbecue area, perfect for enjoying alfresco dining

The main bedroom offers a queen-size bed, sleeper couch, and an en-suite bathroom complete with a bath, basin, and toilet. Sliding glass doors lead out to a beautiful front-facing patio, allowing you to relax in bed while reveling in the stunning river views.

Upstairs, a loft bedroom provides a cozy retreat with a skylight offering magnificent river views. This room features two comfortable single beds, as well as ample hanging and packing space. Please note that this bedroom is only accessible via a steep wooden staircase, requiring guests to be physically able to climb stairs.

An additional bathroom located on the ground floor includes a shower, basin, and toilet.

The spacious lounge area is the perfect spot to unwind, with plenty of comfortable seating, an indoor fireplace for those chilly winter nights, a TV with DSTV, and high-speed WIFI throughout the unit. Sliding glass doors open onto the river-facing patio, where you can bask in the serenity of nature while listening to the melodious songs of an array of bird species.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary needs, boasting modern appliances such as a dishwasher, undercounter oven, hob, fridge, kettle, and toaster. You'll have everything you need to prepare delicious meals in the comfort of your own home.

Located towards the edge of the resort, near the parking area, this self-contained cottage offers a truly unforgettable getaway.

Bedding and bath towels are provided, so all you need to bring are your own beach towels. For added peace of mind, secure parking is available within the gates, right outside the unit.

River View Cottage is the perfect retreat for couples or a small family of four, providing exclusive access to the unspoiled paradise that is Witsand. Immerse yourself in a world of relaxation, exploration, swimming, boating, and fishing in beautiful Witsand.

Take a short stroll through the resort to the sandy riverbank of the warm Breede River, or indulge in a rejuvenating swim at the resort pool. The Blue Flag swimming beach in Witsand is just a short drive away, and the rock pools offer a bountiful supply of oysters and mussels (with the necessary permits). Additionally, the resort features a dedicated jetty for boat launching. Witsand is celebrated as a kitesurfing mecca and boasts an array of mountain bike trails suitable for all skill levels.

For dining options, the renowned PiliPili Restaurant & Bar is a mere 500 meters away, and the town itself is peppered with quaint coffee shops and a charming craft market, along with other delightful stores.

If you plan on bringing your own boat, please inquire about our boat parking options, as boats are not permitted in the car park. However, Witsand offers a variety of storage solutions to accommodate your needs (additional charges may apply).
