In the distance, the Roman Rock Light House stands as a testament to the history and seafaring heritage of the area. Fully automated in 1919, its acetylene gas flashes can be seen from thirteen nautical miles out to sea, illuminating the Cape sky every six seconds with an impressive power of 5000 CD. It is a guiding light that safely leads South African naval boats home.

Inside the Light House Guest Room, guests will find an oasis of privacy, space, and comfort. The room boasts high-quality bed linen and towels, ensuring ultimate relaxation. Located in the attractive Glencairn Heights, just a stone's throw away from the charming Kalkbay village, Fish Hoek, Simonstown, and a convenient mini shopping center (only a 5-minute walk) equipped with a laundry, bottle store, grocer store, and pharmacy. This prime location makes it an ideal base for exploring the Cape Peninsula and False Bay. For guests' convenience, a continental breakfast is provided upon prior request, ensuring a delightful start to the day. An honesty bar is readily available in the room, adding a touch of luxury to the stay. Additionally, a separate courtyard with a braai/barbecue area is available upon prior request, granting guests the opportunity to indulge in a traditional South African culinary experience. Please note, no braaing/barbecue is allowed on the guestroom deck. For longer stays, an air fryer can be provided upon request.

Guests will have exclusive access to the Guest Room, with a separate private entrance and staircase ensuring privacy during their stay. Upon arrival, keys can be collected from your host or from the key safe box, whichever arrangements have been made beforehand. On departure, keys can be left in the key safe or post box, once again, as previously agreed upon. Conveniently located parking spots are allocated on the street, directly below the deck, ensuring easy access to your vehicle.

Please note that the guest room cannot accommodate pets or small children, as it features stairs and decks on the second floor. However, infants under 1 and a half years old are welcome. During the High season, a portable jacuzzi is available on the deck, providing an added touch of luxury. While every effort is made to facilitate its use, please be advised that unforeseen circumstances such as country-wide electricity load shedding, inclement weather, or technical issues may occasionally hinder its availability.
