About Grand Palace

Thailand's most sacred and most visited spot is the glittering Grand Palace built by King Rama I in 1782. Succeeding monarchs added their own elaborate structures and the complex is now incredibly opulent. Today the Grand Palace is partially open to visitors as a museum. It remains a working palace used for state functions and royal ceremonies.
